Larry Porcellato
Former Chief Executive Officer, ICI Paints North America
Larry’s career has provided him with extensive experience in a variety of manufacturing and marketing businesses in North America and Europe. His experience includes branded consumer, industrial, and commercial products, with distribution models ranging from mass retail to direct-to-end-user. The past 15 years have been in general management and CEO roles, preceded by marketing and finance positions.
Most recently Larry was CEO of ICI Paints North America, a $1.6 billion manufacturer and marketer of paints such as Glidden, Ralph Lauren, Dulux, and Devoe heavy-duty coatings. The business operated with 9 manufacturing facilities, 700 contractor outlets, and an 800-person direct-to-end-user sales force, and was a major supplier to The Home Depot.
For two years, prior to that, Larry was responsible for Stanley Works, Mechanics Tools Division, which included brands such as Mac, Proto and Husky. These brands went to market across a variety of channels including major retail, MRO and direct-to-end-user.
Previously, Larry completed ten years with Rubbermaid Inc. where he ran a variety of divisions including Home Products, Rubbermaid Europe, and Rubbermaid Canada. During his time in Europe, Larry was responsible for re-establishing Rubbermaid’s business after the company exited a joint venture. Rubbermaid also provided Larry with extensive experience in product development, and account management with major retailers.
Prior to that Larry held positions with Gillette and began his career KPMG.
Larry received a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto and is a qualified accountant. He is a board member of HNI Corp Inc. and Omnova Solutions Inc.
